We’re incredibly proud as an association to have been selected by the Home Office as the only martial arts association for the Government’s new #knifefree campaign. We’re listed amongst the likes of UK Youth and the Gym Group as a signposted organisation through which people can explore something new, and learn martial arts.
Why Us?
We like to think it’s our focus on promoting safe, professional, regulated martial arts training. Our instructor’s have to reach some of the highest standards in the UK before they can gain BMABA instructor membership and licensing.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about the dangers of carrying a knife. Martial arts seems incredibly well suited to this.
It also aims to help young people make informed life choices, and to get inspired to try something new. We’re very proud to be the martial arts association – and the only martial arts association in the country – listed on this site. It’s been featured in major publications, such as the Guardian and ITV, and we’ve seen a significant amount of traffic and interest generated off the back of this.
This latest development coincides with the launch of our brand new student portal, which sees the launch of the UK’s first exclusively student focused resource provided free of charge to help students find qualified martial arts clubs, and for parents to find safe instructors.
